My passion is and always will be one single word: Dance 💛
Hi! My name is Miss Emily, and I am proudly one of the owners of Sunshine Dance Center. As a shy 3-year-old, my mom signed me up for dance at Sunshine, and I cried… Every. Single. Week… For an entire year! Thankfully, my mom has the patience of an angel, and she continued to bring me. Fast forward 38 years later and here I am!! I have been a part of the Sunshine staff since I was 14. I now have a 15-year-old daughter, who is my very best blessing, and has been dancing for the past 12 years. She is also a part of our staff! “Miss Aubrey” makes my life complete, and I am so excited to continue to watch her soar from the wings! Aside from the dance school, I am a 1st grade teacher here in Waterbury, at Gilmartin School. This is the start of my 20th year, and you can almost always walk by my classroom and catch us dancing on a “brain break”! Throughout life’s trials and tribulations, dance has always remained my constant. I am honored, thrilled, and humbled to be able to share my love of dance with every single one of you. 💛 This new season is going to be so awesome, and I cannot wait to see you all so soon!! 💛 With so much Love!!!
